Aligning Dreams with God’s Plan

Shining Stars Community was created to provide opportunities for connections. I had big ideas and vision for what it would look like. But reality is that sometimes, your big ideas don’t add up with God’s plans or timing.

Because while it seemed like all the pieces were in place after a few events, I knew all was not aligned. I wasn’t prepared to sustain these projects financially and increasing participation would require better marketing and collaboration. As this reality set in, so did a little frustration and a bit of doubt in myself and my ability to build Shining Stars.

I knew that the passion I had to serve my community through encouraging connection and creating content that increases awareness was not enough. I also understood the importance of making sure I was aligned with God’s plan.

Looking back now, I believe the doubt was more of a caution to pause, reflect and make sure I was moving in the direction God was calling me and not just me doing my own thing.

Now a few years later, after haven taken time to align myself from the “inside out”, I am, moving forward in faith. Super excited to be doing so alongside my mother and cousin for the next event. Leaving the rest to God. Letting him lead the way and guide the direction of Shining Stars Community and future events and content. Stay tuned

UPDATE: While we did not get enough participation to hold this event as scheduled, we will look to set additional dates in the future. Meanwhile, my mom is now a resident artist at The Art of the Women Fine Art Gallery and Gifts. She has a few handmade items that she is offering for sale. Check out her items at the studio located at 23 South 4th Street. Emmaus, PA. Support her as she continues tapping into her creative and artistic side.

God is so good and faithful in making a way, even when things don’t work according to our plans. We can rest assuredly that his plans for us are good, to give us a hope and a future.
